The Year of Theatre in Russia 2019: Display of theatre costumes “The Theatre’s Full, The Boxes Glitter” staged in Omsk

“Russia – My History” Historical Park in Omsk is holding an exhibition “The Theatre’s Full, The Boxes Glitter”. The exposition showcases original theatre costumes from wardrobes of Imperial theatres of the 19th – early 20th cc.: luxurious silk dresses, velvet jackets and kaftans, embroidered with gold thread, as well as a unique chain mail that Baron Feofil Meyendorf wore at the "Last Ball of the Empire" on February 11, 1903. The exhibition will be open until March 15, 2019.

Every year on July 8th, Russia celebrates the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. This holiday has its roots in the legend of the married couple, Saints Pyotr and Fevronia, who lived in the city of Murom in the 12th and 13th centuries. Their story has become a symbol of Christian marriage and true devotion.

July 8, 2021 Russia celebrates the Day of Family, Love and Faithfulness - a holiday devoted to family values. On this day, the Orthodox Church venerates Saints Peter and Fevronia of Murom. The married couple has become a model of marital faithfulness, devotion and family happiness.

On March 20 the Fabergé Museum (St. Petersburg) presented a large-scale exhibition project “Viva la Vida. Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. Paintings and Graphics from Museum and Private Collections”. The project showcases masterpieces, created by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera and tells a story of the most famous married couple in 20th century art. The exhibition will be open through May 19, 2019.
