Russia – Switzerland: from the history of relationship. To the World Economic Forum in Davos

Russia and Switzerland are associated with long-term political, economic and cultural relations lasting more than three centuries. Natives of Switzerland made a significant contribution to the development of Russian science, art and military affairs. The collection dedicated to bilateral relations includes official documents, studies, archival and visual materials, periodicals covering the state structure and history of Switzerland, the life and work of its famous natives, certain aspects of the relationship between Russia and Switzerland in the period of the XVII-XXI centuries, and also documents that reveal the importance of Switzerland as a place of acceptance of acts of international importance.

Pitirim Sorokin (1889–1968)

The collection is timed to coincide with the 130th anniversary of the birth of Pitirim Sorokin - a prominent Russian sociologist and culturologist. He was born on February 4, 1889 into a family of a craftsman in a village in Vologda Governorate. He died on February 10, 1968 in Massachusetts, the USA. Pitirim Sorokin became the founder of integral sociology, made a significant contribution to the development of the theory of social mobility. He published more than 30 books.

Chief bibliographer of the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library Marianna Ponikarovskaya took part in the presentation of the book by the Serbian writer Evdzhe A. Evdzhevich "Russians in Kragujevac", which took place in the conference hall of the Yekaterinburg Assembly College.

Information Technology and Regions of Russia: "Yugra VR-Workshop" for implementation of educational local history projects opened in the State Library of Yugra

The State Library of Yugra (Khanty-Mansiysk), within the framework of the XVII Regional Assembly of Cultural and Art Workers, launched the "Yugra VR-Workshop". It is a large joint project of the "Good Deed" Development Centre and the regional central library. It is developed under the governor's grant and aimed at increasing the interest of children and teenagers in the history of their native land with the help of the latest VR technology.

Private documents, photographs, newspaper articles, albums and other items tell about people who fought for their Motherland.

Kuzbass continues online training of operators of electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library

On March 24, 2021, specialists of the Kemerovo Regional Centre of the Presidential Library, operating on the basis of the V. D. Fyodorov State Scientific Library of Kuzbass, held an event from a series of methodological webinars for operators of Regional Centres of Remote Access to the Resources of the Presidential Library. The webinar engaged 27 colleagues from different municipal districts of Kuzbass.
