Allies of World War II

The materials of this section reflect the main stages of formation and development of cooperation between the USSR, the USA and the Great Britain during the World War II on both the diplomatic front and on the battlefields. Special emphasis is placed on the International conferences (Teheran, 1943; Yalta, 1944; Potsdam, 1945) and the relationship between the USSR and the USA in the context of economical collaboration, in particular, on the activity of polar convoys, the aerial communication between Alaska and Siberia, the supplies under the Lend-Lease program via the territory of Iran. The gem of the collection is the photographs provided to the Presidential Library by the Library of Congress.
