Koreiz

A small town Koreiz is famous for located in it former palace of Prince F. F. Yusupov. A dacha called the “Pink House” was located on the place of the Yusupov Palace before, while in 1909 Yalta architect N. P. Krasnov remodeled it. In the 1920s the palace was nationalized and became a health resort for the staff employees of the All-Russian Special Commission for Combating Counter-revolution, Sabotage, and Speculation. During the Yalta Conference, the Yusupov Palace served as a residential place of the Soviet delegation headed by I. V. Stalin. In the post-war period the palace became a summer residence of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Soviet Union, many party and state leaders of the Soviet Union and leaders of foreign communist parties spent their vacations in there.
