Mikhail Glinka in the memoirs of his contemporaries
On June 1st, 2024, the 220th anniversary of the birth of Russian composer Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka will be celebrated. He is the creator of the Russian National Opera and the founder of the Russian school of art music. The Presidential Library has posted a collection of digital copies of books, brochures, archival documents, and visual materials related to Glinka on Library's portal.

At the day of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the siege, Zhdanov wrote a letter to Stalin, and Alexander Fadeev, the writer, came to the besieged city twice. The workers of the accordion factory did various things during the Siege, and Mikhail Dudin, a front-line soldier and poet, was taught by someone.
