The Russian Scientific Conference "1944: 'Ten Stalinist Strikes' - Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Leningrad from Nazi Siege and the Expulsion of Nazi Troops from the Territory of the Soviet Union"

On October 17th, 2024, the Presidential Library will host the Russian Scientific Conference "1944: Ten Stalinist Strikes," to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad from Nazi occupation and the expulsion of German troops from Soviet territory. A video recording of the event will be made.

Registration for speakers ends at 2:00 pm on September 20th, 2024 and for attendees at 2:00 pm on October 15th, 2024.

We look forward to welcoming you at the round table "The Russian language in the CIS countries: the potential for cooperation in culture, science and education" within the framework of the international conference "The Russian language - the basis of the integration dialogue in the region of the Commonwealth of Independent States", organized jointly with the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Member States Commonwealth of Independent States.

The purpose of the round table is to unlock the potential of the Russian language in the CIS for cooperation in culture, science and education.

The round table will be held on the days of the conference on October 26–27, 2023 at the Presidential Library (St. Petersburg, Senate Square, 3).

Round table "North-West Fortresses"

The round table will touch upon the history of fortifications in the North-West of Rus' in the 9th–15th centuries, the creation of fortifications in the North-West of Russia in the 18th century, archaeological research of fortifications in the North-West, issues of conservation and restoration of monuments of Russian defence architecture, etc.
