Television space bridge St. Petersburg – Kazan to link participants of the 36th UNESCO session and their young colleagues
July 3, 2012 as part of the 36th session of UNESCO World Heritage Committee taking place in St. Petersburg these days, the Presidential Library will host a teleconference between the members of the UNESCO members and their colleagues from the Youth Model World Heritage Committee.
The conference “Laurentian Chronicle. Historical memory and succession of generations” to be held in the Presidential Library
June 20, 2012 the Presidential Library will host the inter-regional conference “Laurentian Chronicle. Historical memory and the succession of generations”, dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the Russian statehood. The electronic version of the Laurentian Chronicle will become the main event of the presentation.
New documents on the Great Patriotic War have been added to the Presidential Library’s holdings
Marking the 67th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Presidential Library has added about 10, 000 documents, most of which are published in open access at the library’s portal, to “The Memory of the Great Victory” collection.

“The Color and Time” project to be presented in the Presidential Library
20 March 2012 the Presidential Library will present “The Color and Time” project timed to an exhibition of S. M. Prokudin-Gorsky photographs and a workshop by the leading photo correspondents of St. Petersburg. Within the presentation there will be announced the launch of preparative work for the Third Annual Photo Contest “Foreign View”.
The Presidential Library organizes training seminars on cataloguing
In 2012 the Presidential library will hold training seminars on the subject of “Methodology of cataloguing of digital copies of various types and kinds of resources”. The seminars will include lectures and practical training.
Exhibition project of the Presidential Library devoted to the heritage of photographer Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky
The preparatory work over a new exhibition project focused on the rich heritage of the Russian photo artist S. M. Prokudin-Gorsky is in progress at the Presidential Library. The exhibition is due to kick off in February 2012.
