On May 14, 2024, the ceremony of awarding diplomas and memorable gifts to the winners and runners-up of the Olympiad "Russia in the electronic World" took place. Participants gathered at the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg at Senate Square, 3, and at the venue of Tyumen branch of the Library. The event was attended by representatives of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

Documents about events in Crimea during the Great Patriotic War presented on Presidential Library's portal
On May 12, 2024, marking the 80th anniversary of the completion of the Crimean offensive operation and the complete liberation of Sevastopol and the Crimean Peninsula from the Nazi invaders, the collection World War II in archival documents is replenished by digitized archival documents of the Federal Archives of Russia: the State Archive of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History, the Russian State Archive of Economics, the Russian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents reflecting the events on the territory of the Crimean Peninsula in the period from the end of 1942 to November 1944.
The Presidential Library presents a new project "Great Russia"
The portal of the Presidential Library presents a new scientific and educational project "Great Russia". It is implemented under the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation "On approval of the Foundations of State Policy for the preservation and strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values." The creation of the project and filling it with information materials is carried out with the help of documents from the fund of the Presidential Library and its partners.

Pride, truth and memory," says the President of he Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in his article "75 years of the Great Victory: Shared Responsibility to History and the Future." The Head of State draws attention to the fact that, analyzing the causes that led to the world war, reflecting on its complex events, tragedies and victories, about lessons it taught – for our country and the whole world, "it is fundamentally important to rely only on archival materials, evidence of contemporaries, to exclude any ideological and politicized speculation."

Presidential Library hosted video lecture about daily life during the Great Patriotic War and the Siege
On May 8, 2024 the Presidential Library hosted a lecture about everyday life during the Great Patriotic War and the siege as part of the video lecture "Knowledge of Russia". Lecturers were Kirill Boldovsky, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Head of the laboratory "History of the Siege of Leningrad", Senior Researcher at the Department of Modern Russian History of the St. Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Alexey Bogomolov, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Researcher at the St. Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Combat heroes of the most peaceful profession. The Presidential Library tells about the war feats of teachers
"September 1, 1941. In previous years, this day was the beginning of the school year. I had to sit at my desk in the 9th grade. But the war has changed everything: partisans are sleeping in classrooms, and students are digging anti-tank ditches. Would the classes of 10th begin? I don't think so, the frontline is too close. But I want to study!" wrote Igor Malakhov, a Leningrad schoolboy, in his diary.
Gala concert dedicated to Victory Day held in the Presidential Library
On May 7, 2024, the Presidential Library hosted a solemn event timed to coincide with the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The organizers are the Administration of the Admiralteysky district of St. Petersburg and the Presidential Library. The event was attended by veterans of the Great Patriotic War, residents of besieged Leningrad and home front workers.
