The Presidential Library joined Voices of Victory campaign
On May 3, 2024, in St. Petersburg, at the House of the Press, an important campaign for the preservation of historical memory "Voices of Victory" took place. The event, which is held annually on the eve of May 9 by the publishing house of Arguments and Facts newspaper, was attended by veterans of the Great Patriotic War, residents of besieged Leningrad and home front workers. The Presidential Library has become not only a participant, but also an information partner of the "Voices of Victory" campaign.
Documents on portal of Presidential Library tell about development of art during the Great Patriotic War
On May 3, 2024, the Collection "World War II in Archival documents" on the Presidential Library's portal was replenished with more than 40 photographic documents and manuscripts from the collections of the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art (RGALI) and the State Archive of the Russian Federation (GARF) of the key period of the Great Patriotic War (from November 19, 1942 to November 7, 1944).

On May 1, Spring and Labor Day is celebrated annually in Russia. Many songs, poems and other works of art are dedicated to this day. Historians Sigismund Valk and Alexey Shilov tell about the history of May 1 in Russia and abroad in their book "May Day Anthology" (1924).
