The XI Anti-Counterfeiting International Forum to be held at the Presidential Library

5–6 October 2023

The XI Anti-Counterfeiting-2023 International Forum, dedicated to the issues of protecting the markets of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union from counterfeiting and falsification, the introduction of modern digital mechanisms, labeling and traceability systems, exchange of best practices in legal regulation in the field of standardization and certification, as well as protection of intellectual property rights will be held on October 5–6, 2023 in St. Petersburg, in the Presidential Library, subordinate to the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation. 

The main goal of the forum is the exchange of ideas, opinions, experience on the practical application of legislation, demonstration of successful projects and development of joint solutions in order to form a civilized market of goods and services in the EAEU countries.

As part of the forum's business program, representatives of the federal executive authorities of the Russian Federation, international organizations, including the Eurasian Economic Commission, professional associations and businesses will join discussion sessions, round tables and conferences.

One of the main topics of the forum will be the development of digital labeling in the EAEU countries, the exchange of experience in implementing such a system in various product groups, its effectiveness and possibilities for further development.

“New supply chains, rotation of companies and brands in the consumer market make the issue of combating counterfeit products especially relevant. They require the introduction of modern digital technologies, the accelerated development of a digital labeling and traceability system throughout the EAEU. The forum will traditionally become the main discussion platform in this area”, - noted Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

According to the Minister of Economics and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the Anti-Counterfeit Forum is an integral part of the Eurasian integration agenda and provides the attention of the public, business and government agencies to the problems of combating the spread of counterfeit goods.

“Current trends in the production and distribution of counterfeit goods dictate the need to search and discuss new effective tools to combat counterfeiting and falsification in the common Eurasian market”, - the EEC Minister emphasized.

The Anti-Counterfeiting Forum is an annual business event of the Eurasian Economic Union, which is held alternately in the state presiding over the EAEU bodies. In 2023, the presiding country in the Eurasian Economic Union is Russia.

The first International Anti-Counterfeiting Forum took place in Moscow on October 22–24, 2012. In subsequent years, the forum was held in Republic of Kazakhstan,the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Armenia and Kyrgyz Republic. This year the forum will take place in St. Petersburg.

The organizer of the Anti-Counterfeiting International Forum is the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The forum is co-organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission. The partners of the forum’s business program are the “Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies” (operator of the state labeling system “Honest Sign”), the autonomous non-profit organization “National Scientific Center of Competence in the Sphere of Combating Illegal Trafficking in Industrial Products”, an international association of organizations engaged in combating illegal trafficking of counterfeit goods. Information about the Presidential Library:

The Presidential Library is under the jurisdiction of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation and is the first electronic national library of Russia.
