Presidential Library to honour best employees of the St. Petersburg Metro

On 11 November 2025 at 10:00, a solemn ceremony will be held at the Presidential Library (Senate Square, 3) to present state, departmental and industry awards to employees of the St. Petersburg Metro who have made a significant contribution to the development of the enterprise.

In total, more than 200 employees of the St. Petersburg Metro from various departments and services will receive well-deserved awards on this day. The list includes those who will be honoured with awards and commendations from the Governor of St. Petersburg, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Vice-Governor and the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, the City Transport Committee, and the metro itself (including for loyalty to the company, for merits and conscientious work).

Artists from the Mariinsky Theatre and the combined academic choir of the St. Petersburg and Moscow metros will perform for participants and guests of the ceremony. The ceremony will conclude with the premiere screening of a documentary film created by the St. Petersburg TV channel team especially for the 70th anniversary of the metro.

The event will be broadcast on the portal in the Live Broadcasts section in accordance with the live broadcast schedule, as well as on the institution's Rutube channel.

The Presidential Library and the St. Petersburg Metro are actively developing their cooperation. On 20 October 2025, the Presidential Library hosted the grand opening of an exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the St. Petersburg Metro, and a cooperation agreement was signed between the organisations. The library's portal features a new electronic collection, Russian Metro: History and Modernity, dedicated to the main stages of the formation and development of the metro in Russia.
