Presidential Library calls for participation in photo contest

Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library announces the beginning of “Foreign View” International photo contest. The works for the contest are accepted until September 1, 2010 – the day of presentation of the Presidential Library “Territory of Russia” collection and the opening of the exhibition. The best authors will be awarded with diplomas and commemorative prizes.

“Foreign View” is the project meant to record the present-day reality, depict the originality of a particular country, demonstrate the common points of interaction between the Russian culture and those of other countries of the world in the field of religion, art, science, education, everyday life, environment.

“Foreign View” is a view through object glass on history, culture and mode of life of another country. To take part in the competition are photographs of abroad made by Russians and photographs of Russia made by foreigners. Photos from different parts of the world form an extensional picture of social, economic and cultural integration of peoples of the world which is interesting both to Russian and foreign spectator.

Summing up the results of the contest and ceremonial decoration of winners will take place in the Presidential Library in October of 2010 as a part of International forum “Russia and Republic of Korea Dialogue”.

For participation in the contest are invited professional photographs, amateurs and associations of photographers, regardless age, nationality or country of residence.
