The exhibition "The World through the Eyes of a Child" - in the Presidential Library

May 29, 2017 the Presidential Library will host a multimedia exhibition of works of art by children from the “Down Center” - "The World through the Eyes of a Child". The exhibition will feature more than 60 works of "solar children" in various techniques: drawings, collages, applications. Part of the work is dedicated to Easter. Almost all the works are performed by children absolutely independently and many of them are truly original.

The St. Petersburg public organization of the disabled "Down Center" is organized in 2003. It unites families where children and adults with Down syndrome live. Today the organization contains about 300 such families.

"Down Center" deals with medical, pedagogical, social and labor rehabilitation of children, as well as psychological support of parents; it provides targeted assistance to needy families; it provides information support.

June 5, 2017 the exhibition will be visited by the authors of the works.

The exhibition "The World through the Eyes of a Child" will run until June 13, 2017. To visit the exposition, it is necessary to pre-register by phone (812) 334-25-14 or to send a letter to the e-mail excursion@prlib.ru.

 

Accreditation of media representatives is until 15:00 May 26, 2017.

Please note that the entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only upon prior request and showing the passport: guests and participants of the event - through entrance №1, representatives of the media - through entrance №2.
