Languages of the World: The XV International Congress of the Slavs in Belarus

In Minsk on August 20-27, 2013 is held the XV International Congress of the Slavs.

This was stated in Minsk on August 13 by the Chairman of the International and Belorussian Committees of the Slavs, a member of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus Alexander Lukashanets at the press-conference.

“International congresses of the Slavs – are currently the largest international scientific forums which deal with the problems of the development of the Slavic languages, cultures, folklore”, - said the Chairman of the International and Belorussian Committees of the Slavs, a member of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus Alexander Lukashanets. He also noted the event in Belarus would first bring together about 600 scientists from 35 countries of the world, including non-Slavic.
