International events: The large-scale exhibition “We were together against Nazism” in Moscow

April 28, 2015 the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War (Moscow) presents visitors the large-scale International exhibition “We were together in the fight against Nazism”. This project starts on the eve of the official date – the 70th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and will be one of the main cultural events of 2015, dedicated to the anniversary of the Great Victory.

The full-scale project “We were together against Nazism” consists of 15 exhibitions, each of which is dedicated to one of the republics, included in the USSR. It details the main stages of the Great Patriotic War and disclosed military and labor contribution of citizens of those republics to the victory over the Nazi invaders, which gives more convincing to feel the strength and power of our centuries-old ties of kinship and unity.

The exhibitions are presented by the Ministry of Culture and the National Museums of Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The contribution to the victory the other Soviet Republics is shown by the specialists of the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War.

Priceless artifacts from the museum of the former Soviet republics are presented to the public for the first time: paintings, graphic works, sculptures, decorative arts, archival documents; printed products: posters, newspapers, books, brochures; personal things frontline fighters: tunics, awards, military weapons. Priceless footage of war newsreel, preserving the memory of the war, vividly present the feats of soldiers of the Soviet aviation, land and naval forces, as well as labor exploits people in the rear.

The exhibition aims to present the events of those years on the basis of the exhibits and evidence, which demonstrate the unbreakable friendship and patriotism of Soviet people, who fought in iron years of the war in battlefields and labor front in a single rank the overall Victory.

On the same day at the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War is held the International Historical and Cultural Forum “The Great Victory mined by unity”, which is also dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory.

The exhibition “We were together against Nazism” will be available to the public until October 15, 2015.
