The Year of Russian Cinema-2016: Costumes and scenery of famous national films are presented at the exhibition in Khanty-Mansiysk

The exhibition from the collections of the State Central Museum of Cinema (Moscow) is opened at the Museum of Nature and Human of Khanty-Mansiysk on February 28, 2016.

Among its exhibits - unique costumes and stage props, scenery sketches, photographs of such famous Russian films as "Alexander Nevsky" by Sergei Eisenstein, "Andrei Rublev" by Andrei Tarkovsky, "War and Peace" and "Boris Godunov" by Sergei Bondarchuk, "Sibiriada" by Andrei Konchalovsky, "The Barber of Siberia", by Nikita Mikhalkov, "The captivating Star of happiness" by Vladimir Motyl, "When the trees were big" by Leo Kulidzhanov, "The Road to Calvary" by Basil Ordynsky and others.

The exhibition is timed to the film festival "Spirit of Fire" and is the main event of the cultural events of the Year of Russian cinema.

The exhibition project "Magic of Cinema" in a fascinating and diverse form tells about the history of the national cinema. Visitors will be demonstrated more than 300 original exhibits and materials that illustrate a certain period of development of the national cinema - the famous films based on stories from the history of Russia since the days of ancient Russia to the middle of the XX century, and created, for the most part, in the period from mid-1950 - to the middle of 1980s. 

In addition, the exhibition is complemented with multimedia component using digital content.

Appeal to the famous and favorite films, images of historical figures by the popularly favorite actors, and through them to the history of Russia, to the important stages in the life of the state, should contribute to a promotion of the national cinema, and to stimulate interest in the country's history, organizers said.

Other important tasks they determine the development of military-patriotic education of youth, as well as increasing cultural awareness of society through the comprehension of the historical past of our country.
