Memory of Russia: The cultural and patriotic program “Banner of Victory” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory

The cultural and patriotic program “Banner of Victory” dedicated to the seventy-five anniversary of the Great Victory will be held in Russia till 2020. It was supported by defense and cultural departments, other ministries and the Russian Military Historical Society.

The program consists of several parties. In particular, it is planned in almost a hundred and fifty cities of our country to establish special flagpoles. In holidays the flag of the Russian Federation will replace the copy of the Victory Banner. The action will take place in cities-heroes, cities of Labor Valor and Glory and capitals of regions.

The total height of flagpoles will be almost six kilometers, and the total square of Victory Banners – more than sixty thousand square meters. Near each flagpole will be screens, where will be demonstrated video with the information about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. 

The “Highlight” of the program “Banner of Victory” will be a record size copy of the Victory Banner. It will be first presented on February 4 on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow.
