Russian culture abroad: Exhibition "Graphics of Russian and Soviet artists of XVIII-XX centuries" in Armenia

November 25, 2016 the exhibition "Drawings by Russian and Soviet artists of XVII-XX centuries" at the National Gallery of Armenia (Yerevan).

The exhibition includes 226 works from the collection of Russian graphic art of XVIII - XX centuries, watercolors and drawings of Soviet artists stored in the collection of the National Gallery of Armenia.

The museum's collection is rich in masterpieces of the famous artists of the late XIX - early XX century. Of particular interest are the graphic works of famous masters of the first half of the XIX century - K. Bryullov, A. Ivanov, A. Orlovsky, F. Bruni, W. Sternberg. The works of M. Vrubel, V. Borisov-Musatov, V. Serov, M. Nesterov, artists association "World of Art" - Alexandre Benois, K. Somov, A. Ostroumova-Lebedeva, M. Dobuzhinsky, E. Lancere, L. A. Bakst, B. Kustodiev, Z. Serebryakova, A. Golovin.

Significant are the works of artists on Armenian themes, which, along with other exhibits constitute perhaps the most remarkable group of works of the collection, representing Armenia through the eyes of Russian and Soviet artists.
