The Presidential Library's video lecture dedicated to the constitutional right to a favorable environment

On April 10, 2024, the Presidential Library, as part of the video lecture Knowledge of Russia, held a lecture on the constitutional right of everyone to a favorable environment. The event continued the series of lectures “Man, his rights and freedoms are the highest constitutional value”.

Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of State Law of the Pushkin Leningrad State University Vadim Vasilyevich Mamonov, during the lecture, gave a definition of such concepts as “favorable environment”, “environment”, “natural environment”, “ecological safety”, "environmental education", "ecological expertise".

Vadim Vasilyevich Mamonov spoke about the implementation of everyone’s right to reliable information about the state of the environment and to compensation for damage caused to health or property by environmental violations. The lecturer also paid attention to the most significant issues of legal regulation of the use and protection of land and other natural resources as the basis for the life and activities of the peoples living in the relevant territory.
