Chuvash Regional Center of Presidential Library organized offsite practical seminar for teachers

On March 24, 2025, the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the National Library of the Chuvash Republic, organized a seminar Using the Collections of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library for History and Social Studies Lessons.

The event was attended by teachers from various municipalities of the Chuvash Republic. The workshop was organized in cooperation with the Department of Methods of Teaching Academic Subjects and Fields of the Chuvash Republican Institute of Education.

The seminar reviewed the activities of the Presidential Library in the context of the state policy of Russia in the field of historical education. It identified signs of modern reliable information and identified information landmarks for the Defender of the Fatherland Year and the 80th anniversary of Victory.

The teachers became familiar with the Victory Pages section of the portal President of Russia for School-Age Citizens, methodological materials for multimedia lessons in the information and educational project Gosudarika of the Presidential Library, the content of the project The Presidential Library for Teachers: Teaching Using Primary Sources, materials from the collection Memory of the Great Victory, and a set of digitized archival documents and film and photographic materials on Second World War in Archival Documents.

The audience was given an overview of the educational projects of the Presidential Library. They also discussed events organized by the Chuvash Regional Center of the Presidential Library, such as an intellectual quiz based on materials from the archive tasks of the Russia in the Electronic World Olympiad, a discussion platform called Historical Memory: Knowing and Protecting, and an exhibition at the National Library of the Chuvash Republic titled Written about and by War.

Teachers who attended the seminar expressed their appreciation for the use of electronic documents from the Presidential Library in their research and project work. They also noted the convenience of the technological solutions available for sharing and accessing information on Russian statehood history, theory, and practice, as well as on the Russian language.

The collection Chuvash Republic (Chuvashia): Pages of History is available on the Presidential Library's portal. It includes official documents, research, archival and visual materials covering various aspects of the region's development.
