Editions from collection of All-Russian Pushkin Museum to be added to collections of Presidential Library
On 29 April 2025 specialists of the Presidential Library took part in the opening of the exhibition "The Power of Pushkin's Muse: Publications of the War Years". The event took place in the All-Russian Pushkin Museum and was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The exhibition presents editions of Alexander Pushkin's works and studies about him published during the war years; books by the poet who went through the war; original illustrations; works by sculptors; postcards and invitation cards for events dedicated to Alexander Pushkin.
Some of the books presented at the exhibition will be transferred to the Presidential Library for digitisation in accordance with the plan of joint activities ("road map") for the development of cooperation for 2025-2030. In February Yuri Nosov, Director General of the Presidential Library, and Olga Korneva, Director of the All-Russian Pushkin Museum, signed the document. The parties signed a permanent co-operation agreement in 2024.
Cooperation between the institutions has been developing since 2015 in many areas of activity. For example, the Presidential Library holds an annual conference Alexander Pushkin Memorial Day with the participation of museum specialists, and a documentary film about the famous museum-apartment of the poet at 12 Moika Street.
The collection of the Presidential Library contains a large number of documents and materials dedicated to the life and work of the great poet. Some of the materials are presented on the library's portal in a separate electronic collection Alexander Pushkin (1799-1837), which includes digital copies of books, articles, archival documents, dissertation abstracts, videos, images and other materials.
