
Students and young researchers from Serbia continue their learning of Russian universities
22 July 2025 saw the start of the International Youth Camp at Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University (NNGU) for students of philology from universities in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries.
For a fortnight the participants will deepen their knowledge of the Russian language, get acquainted with the history and culture of Russia, as well as establish professional contacts with the teachers of the Institute of Philology and Journalism of NNGU.
The final stage will be participation in the "Summer Institute" project: on 28 July the participants will be hosted by N. A. Dobrolyubov Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University, Russian State University for the Humanities in Moscow and Pskov State University.
Earlier, from 22 June to 6 July, young scientists and students from Serbia and the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) got acquainted with the latest Russian developments in the field of nuclear power and electrical engineering. As part of the programme they visited the V.I. Ulyanov (Lenin) St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University LETI, the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI in Moscow, and took part in a conference of young scientists at the Obninsk Scientific Centre.
The events were supported by the Russian House in Belgrade and the Russian World Foundation.
Since 2015, the Russian Centre for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Belgrade has been hosting a remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library. The visitors of the RCSC get full access to the materials of the Presidential Library's electronic collection and get acquainted with documents, medieval manuscript books, printed editions, photographs, maps, modern scientific research on the history, theory and practice of Russian statehood.
Of particular interest are the publications presented in the Presidential Library's electronic collection Russia – Serbia: the history of relations. They tell about the history of Serbia since ancient times, as well as reflect the relationship between Serbia and Russia in various spheres of interaction.
