Staff members of All-Russian Museum of A. S. Pushkin to undergo training at Presidential Library

21 October 2025

From October 30 to November 7, 2025, the Presidential Library will host a series of educational seminars for employees of the book collection department of the All-Russian Museum of A. S. Pushkin. The in-person training, which will include theoretical and practical classes, will be conducted by specialists from the book collection department.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about machine-readable formats for presenting library, archive, and museum data; the principles and methods of creating bibliographic records in RUSMARC format; the specifics of cataloging different types and kinds of resources; and the principles of indexing documents using various categories of subject headings. Special attention will be paid to documents on historical topics.

The Presidential Library and the All-Russian Museum of A. S. Pushkin have been developing cooperation in many areas since 2015. For example, the Presidential Library hosts exhibitions and holds an annual conference, "A. S. Pushkin Memorial Day," with the participation of museum specialists. A documentary film about the famous museum-apartment of the poet at 12 Moika Street was also created.

In February 2024, an open-ended cooperation agreement was signed between the Presidential Library and the All-Russian Museum of A. S. Pushkin, and a year later, a plan of joint activities (a "road map") was signed to develop cooperation for 2025–2030.

Under the agreement, information resources are exchanged, the institutions' collections are mutually supplemented, and joint cultural and educational events aimed at shaping spiritual and moral values are held. The digital collection of documents related to the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin continues to be replenished. The collection includes digital copies of books, articles, archival documents, dissertation abstracts, videos, visual and other materials.

Even more documents and materials devoted to the life and work of the great poet are available in the library's collection. They can be accessed in the electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library, which are open in Russia and abroad.
