The holdings of the nationwide repository of electronic materials on the history of Russian state contain today over 220, 000 items.
Thus, freely available is "The Book on the election to the throne of the great emperor, Tsar and Grand Duke Mikhail Fyodorovich" published in 1856. As stated in the introduction to the edition, devoted to overcoming the Troubles, "the book keenly reflects the impression of the Russian people of the time, the desire for calm after the terrible storms of interregnum…" Head of the Department of History of Slavic and Balkan countries, St. Petersburg State University, Doctor of Historical Sciences Alexander Filyushkin during the meeting drew attention to the unifying role of Michael Romanov, who, in the early 17th century, was in many ways a symbol of Russia free from the invaders.

Head of the Department of Painting 18th – 19th centuries, State Russian Museum, Grigory Goldovsky presented virtually the exhibition "Faces of Russia. Portrait Gallery of the Russian Museum." Many of the portraits of Russian emperors by famous artists are available in the historical calendar "To the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty", prepared by the Presidential Library, under the support of the State Museum-Preserve "Tsarskoye Selo" and the Russian State Historical Archive. As noted Konstantin Knyaginin, the library will continue scientific studies related to the role of individuals in the development of the state.
