Problem oriented seminar and a round table of the Presidential Library took place in Crimea

June 13, 2013, a problem-oriented seminar and the roundtable of the Presidential Library, "Integrated Digital Resources in a Modern Environment" were held at the International Conference "Crimea 2013." The program of the seminar and the roundtable included a series of presentations by leading experts of the Presidential Library, which presented the results of the library for the past four years in various areas, as well as the characteristic of current and future projects of national significance.

Special attention was paid to technological aspects of the formation, development and support of digital collections, improvement of the efficiency of information retrieval based on the improvement of linguistic support, as well as provision of access to the resource for users through remote electronic reading rooms and the website. Participants were quite interested in the report on the project of the Union Electronic Catalog of Russian libraries as a resource for the regions of the Russian Federation.

The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the leadership of the State Archive of the Russian Federation, the national libraries, regional partner institutions of culture and education, LIBNET center, as well as a number of other organizations of Russia and CIS countries. In total event was attended by over 50 participants.
