As noted the Director General of the National Parliamentary Library of Ukraine, Tamara Vylegzhanina, cooperation, exchange of information is important for the institutions of both countries. According to her, presentation of resources of the first national digital library of Russia in the Ukrainian parliament "will contribute to the rapprochement of cultures and peoples of Russia and Ukraine."
Holdings of the Presidential Library amount today to over 260,000 units. They also include the collection "Russia - Ukraine: From the History of Relationship." The collection features essays, archival documents and materials from the time of Kievan Rus' and to the joining of Ukrainian provinces to the Russian Empire.
