Advanced technologies of ambulatory medicine discussed in the Presidential Library
At the site of the Presidential Library the leading representatives of the "Kremlin medicine" discussed the problems and prospects of development of outpatient care. The main focus of the conference "Ambulatory Medicine of the 21st century" held on September 27, 2013 was the establishment of quality standards for institutional health care for all hospitals.
The organizers of the conference were the Central Medical Department of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, the Federal State Institution "Advisory Diagnostic Centre with a Polyclinic Office of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation." The conference brought together leading experts dealing with out-patient practice, as well as visiting scientists from academic institutions of St. Petersburg and other Russian cities.
According to the head physician of the Advisory Diagnostic Center with a Polyclinic Office of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, Georgy Ivanov, currently the issues of the development of ambulatory medicine become more and more relevant. This is due to the growing technological facilities that allow the timely prevention of disease, identify pathology at early stages. He stressed that the level of doctors, of the average staff, attention to the problem of patients, employers, management of companies and institutions is increasing too. "Outpatient medicine provides the most efficient and least costly treatment, minimizes the risks and often contributes to the prevention of diseases," added Georgy Ivanov.
The Presidential Library is chosen the venue for the medical conference for the third year in succession. According to the organizers, it is today one of the most modern and technologically advanced platforms, allowing high-level presentations of advanced medical technologies, enabling representatives of various organizations and agencies to deliver their lectures and to work together.
