Telecommunication projects at the Presidential Library

The Presidential Library will expand the range of services available on the Internet through mobile devices. This possibility was discussed at the conference "MTS Business Expo." The event participants discussed the main issues and problems of developing special services for the business market using mobile and fixed communications.

As it was noted at the conference, mobile communication is constantly evolving and it is very important to provide enterprises with the most convenient and cost-effective communication systems that will contribute to the development and improvement of business and will also increase the availability of information. It is possible to implement through the creation of "educational" social sets of services in conjunction with the Presidential Library which disposes of electronic collections.

Also, the first electronic national library of Russia has unique telecommunication facilities, which were also discussed at the conference. During the four years of development, the library has been actively involved in joint projects with mobile operators. For example, the resources of the first national digital library of the country were used during the election of the President of Russia, the library supported the press center at the APEC meeting in Vladivostok, contributed to the celebration of the Victory Day in Red Square, other public events.

Russia's largest information and telecommunication complex was commissioned to organize the transfer of full color image streams in a format of high definition television from the new stage of the Mariinsky Theatre to the VGTRK (all-Russian TV and Radio company) hardware. The work was implemented in joint effort with "Megafon" Northwest branch" and "Synterra-Media" companies.

"MTS" also sees the prospects of projects’ development with the Presidential Library, which is equipped with an advanced television system operating in the format of high-definition television. Using the TV set, conference systems, projection video systems, PA systems, simultaneous translation and transcription allows for the technical support of socio-political and cultural events of the highest level.
