“Almaz” batch of orders is set for a long time

"Almaz" Shipbuilding Company is completing the construction of the "Izumrud" border coast guard ship and is building a series of nine self-propelled floating cranes with carrying capacity of 35,150 tons. They will be raised at the shipyard for the secondary Russian Navy according to the project of the "Spetssudoproekt" design office.

This was announced at the celebration ceremony of the 80th anniversary of the "Almaz Shipbuilding Company" which took place in the Presidential Library. According to the CEO of the company, Leonid Grabovets, the venue of the meeting was not chosen by chance. Innovative facilities of the company, manifested in the production, are in common with the up-to-date technology of the first national e-library of the country. "Employees, our colleagues must see it: the advanced technology distinguishes any worthy organization," he said.

Civil and military projects implemented by the “Almaz” enable the company not to reduce the output and consistently maintain more than 1,000 employees.

Head of the Border Service of Russia in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, Anatoly Zabrodin told about the promising areas of cooperation with the “Almaz.” He underlined that the Coast Guard cutters of "Almaz" displayed their best running and fighting qualities, and the firm is regarded as a strategic partner of the Border Service.
