Participants of the INFOTECH exhibition in Tyumen will be presented all the services of the Presidential Library

September 10-11, 2014 in Tyumen will be held the seventh exhibition of information technologies "INFOTECH", one of the leading exponents of which will be the Presidential Library.

"INFOTECH" has repeatedly presented to the citizens all sorts of electronic services: to search for the necessary information, to pay public utilities or to buy real estate. And, of course, exhibitors are constantly competing with each other to appeal to visitors. That's why every year the exhibition stands are more informative and interactive. An example of this is the Presidential Library, which has become one of the most prominent and visited exhibitors. This time, it will delight visitors not only with new projects, but also with an improved method of work with target audiences.

Exhibition stand of the Presidential Library consists of two parts. The first informs visitors about the resources, facilities and activities of the library and its Tyumen branch, contains information on access to the website and to the electronic reading room, as well as presents a virtual tour of the Tyumen Regional Scientific Library, which houses the branch. The common stand of the Presidential Library and the regional library presents the scanning center, where everyone can get an idea about the process of creating a digital information product. The second part of the stand is a training sector where workshops will be organized to obtain skills of using electronic resources and services of the Presidential Library.

"Digital mobile planetarium" will also be on display. Under its inflatable dome students and other visitors will have an opportunity to see scientific and educational historical videos on the screen unfolded inside.

"In order for the seminars to be efficient, our guests will be given mobile tablet computers connected to the Internet, and they will be able during the training to practice all the knowledge gained, tells the director of the Tyumen branch of the Presidential Library, Oleg Shor. Specialists from St. Petersburg will tell about the algorithm to search the desired content in the electronic repository of the Presidential Library and about interesting scientific and educational projects, such as "Video lecture," Cinema Club, "Foreign View" photo contest and others. In the process of exploring the possibilities of the first national electronic library of Russia, participants will be able to practice the skills of handling its resources. Then, locally, they will share the experiences gained, and organize workshops as tutors."

Oleg Shor also spoke about attracting new target audience in the process of mastering the skills of working with electronic resources of the Presidential Library:

"We used to work with a system of general education, but now we have formed a tight partnership with the students and teachers of the State Agrarian University of Northern Zauralye. Students will distribute knowledge and skills acquired under the support of our experts on the basis of networking in the system of agricultural education of the Khanty-Mansi and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Districts, as well as in Kazakhstan, where there are branches of the university."
