Schoolchildren of the Tyumen region to pass the way to Victory!

July 26, 2016 at 14:30 Tyumen time (12:30 - Moscow time) on the territory of the gymnasium №16 in Tyumen will be held the final military-patriotic quest "Forward to victory!". The project is implemented with the support of the Tyumen branch of the Presidential Library of the Council of municipalities of the Tyumen region and the D. I. Mendeleev Tyumen Regional Scientific Library.

The event will be attended by Chairman of the Presidium of the Council of municipalities of the Tyumen region Victor Rein, Vice-Rector of the Tyumen State Institute of Regional Development Regional Education Doctor of Education, Professor Natalia Milovanova, representatives of the Presidential Library, heads of educational institutions, the media representatives of the Tyumen region. 

Quest is the game, the essence of which is to overcome obstacles teams, performing tasks on the thematic areas, named in honor of Great Patriotic War hero cities. The participants must pass on the way of the Red Army through "Moscow", "Stalingrad", "Kursk Bulge", "Sevastopol", "Smolensk", "Leningrad" and "Berlin". Particular attention is paid to the location of the "Invisible Front - Soviet intelligence". The Tyumen region is proud of its countrymen - famous Soviet intelligence agent Nikolai Kuznetsov. That was he who was able to reveal the whereabouts rates of Hitler "Werewolf" near the town of Vinnitsa, the Soviet command to warn of the impending onset of Nazi troops near Kursk (Operation "Citadel"). To win, students will need to demonstrate their physical form, try themselves as ciphers and sappers, and learn the Presidential Library collection.  

The project started on June 22, on the Day of Memory and Grief. To participate in the military-patriotic quests were invited pupils of 8-11 classes of educational institutions of the south of the Tyumen region. The purpose of the project is the formation of civil and moral position of pupils in relation to the motherland, education of youth in the spirit of patriotism, the study of the past through the gameplay. The peculiarity of this project is its regional studies specificity through the use of information technology, participants will learn about the contribution of the Tyumen region in the Victory.

The Presidential Library cherishes the memory of the Great Patriotic War. Today, "victory" collection of the Presidential Library has more than 22 thousands of rare and unique materials related to the war of 1941-1945. The collection includes official documents, photographs and newsreels, newspapers of wartime, books, publications of advocacy character evidence of combatants of the battle and home front workers, their personal documents, images, military and labor awards, monuments and memorials.
