Naval rarities to be added to the Presidential Library’s holdings
April 9, 2013, the Presidential Library signed a cooperation agreement with the Naval Academy n. a. Admiral of the Soviet Navy N. G. Kuznetsov. According to the document, the students and staff of the Academy will be provided access to the whole scope of the holdings of the first national digital library of Russia. The Academy, in turn, will assist in the development and enrichment of the national repository.

The Presidential Library has applied for inclusion of its activities in the federal target program for the development of the Far East and Trans-Baikal. This was announced by Director General of the Presidential Library, Alexander Vershinin, at a meeting organized through videoconferencing with the Pacific State University, to the Russian presidential aide, Andrey Fursenko.

April 3, 2013, in Berlin, at a meeting of the Council to support and promote Russian cultural heritage abroad under Rossotrudnichestvo and the Presidium of the Union of Russian Museums, the Director General of the Presidential Library, Alexander Vershinin, delivered his address. In his speech he stressed the importance of providing access to the historical and cultural heritage of Russia in digital environment.

April 2, 2013, in the Cinema Club of the Presidential Library was held the premiere of the documentary "Alexander Nevsky Monastery – 300th Anniversary: History and Modernity." The film telling about the history of the monastery from its foundation to the present time, was added to digital resources of the Presidential Library.

The Presidential Library has prepared and presented on its website a collection of rare and little-known textbooks on geography.

The announcement was made March 29, 2013, during his visit to the Presidential Library, where he learned about the development of information, cultural, scientific and educational center.
