A tour for journalists’ children around the Presidential Library
At the end of the year the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library invited the children of journalists of St. Petersburg mass media for a visit.
The 15th meeting of the Russian National Libraries Co-Operation Council took place in the Presidential Library
22 December 2011 the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library hosted the 15th meeting of the Russian national libraries Co-operation Council. The heads and leading experts of the three libraries met together in order to define the areas of further joint activities.
Regional Center of the Presidential Library opened in the Amur Region
21 December 2011 in Blagoveshchensk was signed a Co-operation Agreement between the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library and the N. N. Muravyov-Amursky Amur Regional Scientific Library. On the same day in the city opened the Regional Center of access to the Presidential Library information resources.
Consul General of the USA visited the Presidential Library
14 December 2011 a delegation of the Consulate General of the USA in St. Petersburg, led by Bruce Turner, Consul General, visited the Presidential Library. During the visit the guests were informed about the library’s activities.
Regional Center of access to the Presidential Library resources opened on Kamchatka
9 December 2011 in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library signed the co-operative agreement with the Kamchatka Krai S. P. Krasheninnikov Scientific Library. The same day, for all inhabitants of the region, opened its doors the Kamchatka Regional Center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library.
Electronic Reading Room of the Presidential Library opened in Spain
5 December 2011 in Madrid opened a Center of access to electronic resources of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library. Its presentation was timed to the opening in the capital of Spain the Russian Center of Science and Culture (RCSC) whose visitors will have an opportunity to use the holdings of the Presidential Library.
Consul General of the Kingdom of Netherlands visited the Presidential Library
2 December 2011 Jennes de Mol, Consul General of the Kingdom of Netherlands, came to the Presidential Library with an official visit.
The finale of the All-Russian contest of teachers opened in the Presidential Library
28 November 2011 the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library held the opening ceremony of the finale of the All-Russian contest “I give my heart to children”. The attendees of the ceremony were shown the first prize – the Crystal Key – to be contended by the participants.
The results of the “Art and Reality” Forum were summed up in the Presidential Library
25 to 27 November 2011 the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library hosted the first Forum “Art and Reality”. Leading world art journalists, art critics and art historians discussed the relations between the art critique and the modern art. The interaction between the mass media and art was widely discussed at the international level for the first time.
The Electronic Reading Room of the Presidential Library opened in Italy
24 November 2011 the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library opened the Center of access to its resources in rome. The presentation was held in the context of launch of the Russian Center of Science and Culture (RCSC) whose visitors now have an opportunity to use the holdings of the Presidential Library.
