Built in 1901 in the style of the French Renaissance by the architect V. Schreter at the place of the theater that was burned down in 1896. The new theater at that time was striking: the parterre, amphitheater, mezzanine and four tiers could simultaneously accommodate 1667 spectators. In the interiors dominated by velvet and bronze. His scene was the largest in the Russian Empire. The theater had a system of steam heating, air conditioning, beautiful stage equipment. In the 1980s. the building was reconstructed.
