The church of St. Catherine was built in 1855-1857. architects I. Shtrom and P. Shleifer in the forms of pseudo-Gothic. In addition to its elegance and elegance, it was famous for its excellent acoustics. Later, the merchant of the first guild of Cologne donated an organ to the church, the community bought from the artist Berg the image of the "Apparition of the Savior to St. Thomas". There was also the image of St. Catherine in the church. During the Soviet era, there was first a club of militant atheists, then a warehouse, after reconstruction in the 1970s. - Directorate of the State Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of the Ukrainian SSR. In 2000, after a complete reconstruction, St. Catherine's Church became a full-fledged functioning temple of the Lutheran community with an organ and bells. |
