The Presidential Library provides the Annual Integration Forum

On September 28–29, 2023 the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library and the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg host the XIV Scientific and Practical Conference “Cultural Heritage: Integration of Resources in the Digital Space” as part of the Annual Integration Forum.

The event is organized by the Presidential Library, the Union of Museums of Russia, the Russian Library Association, the Ministry of Culture of Sverdlovsk Region, the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library.

The conference will focus on the digital transformation of libraries, the problems of integrating the resources of libraries, archives and museums within the framework of joint projects, the preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the digital environment, the problems of training and retraining library personnel. Most events will be broadcast online.

On September 28, 2023, a plenary session of the XIV Scientific and Practical Conference "Cultural Heritage: Integration of Resources in the Digital Space", a round table "Digital Services and Products marking the 300th anniversary of Yekaterinburg" and a round table "Digitalization and new competencies in the field of culture" will be held in Yekaterinburg.

On September 29, 2023, a plenary session of the X All-Russian annual retreat with the heads of regional centers and partners of the Presidential Library “Interdepartmental partnership as a priority for the regional development of the Presidential Library”, round tables “Museums: problems of preserving and updating historical and cultural heritage in the digital environment” will be held in Yekaterinburg. and “Archival institutions in the digital space: trends and development prospects.”

The round tables “Fortresses of the North-West” and “Outstanding Russian teachers and mentors: the St. Petersburg vector” will be held in St. Petersburg at the Presidential Library.

Within the framework of the round table “Fortresses of the North-West” it is planned to discuss the history of fortifications of the North-West of Rus' in the 9th–15th centuries, the creation of fortifications in the North-West of Russia in the 18th century, archaeological research of fortifications of the North-West, issues of preservation and restoration of monuments Russian defensive architecture.

During the round table “Outstanding Russian teachers and mentors: the St. Petersburg vector”, issues of the history of public education in Russia will be addressed, including the history of individual educational institutions, biographies of outstanding domestic teachers and mentors, as well as the contribution of representatives of the Romanov dynasty to the development of Russian pedagogy.

Representatives of libraries, archives, museums, educational and scientific institutions, public associations, and organizations at the federal and regional levels are invited to take part in the conference, which will be held in person.

Within the framework of the Annual Integration Forum of the Presidential Library, the X All-Russian annual meeting of heads of regional centers and library partners within 7 days including interactive format will be held at various sites in Tyumen, Tyumen Region, Kurgan and Yekaterinburg on September 23-29, 2023. The main theme of the events is interdepartmental partnership as a priority for the regional development of the Presidential Library.

The Presidential Library’s portal in Live Broadcasts section in accordance with the program of live events, as well as on the institution’s Rutube-channel, on the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki will broadcast plenary sessions of the XIV Scientific and Practical Conference “Cultural Heritage: Integration of Resources in the Digital Space”, the X All-Russian annual retreat with the heads of regional centers and partners of the Presidential Library, as well as round tables “Digital services and products marking the 300th anniversary of Yekaterinburg”, “Archival institutions in the digital space: trends and development prospects”, “Fortresses of the North-West” and “Outstanding Russian teachers and mentors: St. Petersburg vector”.

Applications for participation in the conference as speakers are accepted until September 1, 2023, as listeners - until September 20, 2023.

We draw the attention of the media representatives that it is necessary to forward applications for accreditation and arrive at the event in advance.

Entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: for media representatives - through entrance № 2, participants and guests of the event - through entrance № 1.

In order to reduce risks of the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the use of personal protective equipment during the event is mandatory for all attendees.
