The Presidential Library presents researches on the Romanov House

February 12, 2013 the Presidential Library presented studies of Russian historians timed to the 400th anniversary of the Romanov House. In future there will be developed a collection of unique documents covering the life and reign of the imperial dynasty.

The Presidential Library makes a special emphasis on the presence among "intelligent contestants” representatives from all regions of Russia. Technical facilities, Internet connections in schools allows all students, regardless of where they live, to try their hand at distance contest in history and social science. Thus, the Presidential Library fulfills one of the most important tasks of its activity - education and training, forms the "creative class" regardless of where the student resides: in a big city or small village.

Cooperation between the Presidential Library and the Alexander Nevsky Lavra which celebrates in 2013 the 300th anniversary of foundation will continue. February 11, 2013, the vicar of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra bishop of Vyborg Nazarius visited the Presidential Library. During his meeting with the Presidential Library’s Director General, Alexander Vershinin, the vicar was presented with a library pass.

January 31, 2013 scientists, veterans, representatives of government agencies and public from Volgograd and St. Petersburg discussed the prospects of further scientific search work in this area via videoconferencing.
