Battle of Yelizavetpol took place

25 September 1826

13 (25) September 1826 near the town of Yelizavetpol a separate Caucasian corps under the leadership of Ivan Feodorovich Paskevich defeated 35 000-strong army of Crown Prince Abbas Mirza, disposing of just 8 000 Russian soldiers and 22 guns.

“Holy Alliance” was signed

The Black Sea Fleet Museum was founded in Sevastopol

Rear admiral Konstantin Staritsky was born

Konstantin Staritsky, a scientist, hydrographer, explorer of seas in the Far East, rear admiral, was born on September 14 (26), 1839 in Poltava into the family of a retired lieutenant of naval artillery, who came from a noble family of Poltava Governorate.

The Treaty of Belgrade was signed

29 September 1739

On September 18 (29) 1739 near Belgrade Russia and the Ottoman Empire concluded a Peace Treaty of Belgrade, which brought to an end the Russo-Turkish War 1735-1739.
