The Russian State Library is developing three new projects marking the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. One is a reconstruction of a fragment of the war-time reading hall. "The Great Patriotic War Library" project will feature the atmosphere of wartime in the reading room. To arrange the new exposition, the Russian State Library and the Victory Museum have already digitized more than 500 documents - leaflets, books, brochures, posters, and other materials.

April 22, 2020 marks the 121st anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov (1899–1977), a well-known Russian-speaking and English-speaking writer, translator, and literary critic who was in forced emigration. Acquaintance with him by a huge readership at home became possible only in the 80s of the last century.

The "Discover Moscow" portal, together with the #Moskvastoboy project of the Moscow Tourism Committee, launched two new online quests for Moscow residents. By answering questions, users will learn interesting facts about the widening of Tverskaya Street, the famous moving of houses along with residents, as well as the history of the Kitay-Gorod Wall.

A new virtual exhibition arranged by the Department of Foreign Language Literature of the Novgorod Regional Universal Scientific Library is entitled "Novgorod on the Pages of Foreign Publications of the XIX from the Rare Book Collection of the Novgorod Regional Universal Scientific Library".

April 21-26, 2020, Rostov-on-Don will become the online capital of the festival of literate communication which is the holiday of the Russian language and modern literature. The users from all over the world may participate in conferences featuring leading Russian linguists, reading aloud championships, contests, and quizzes. This year the event will be held online.

May 3, 2020 marks the 706th anniversary of the birth of the great monk-ascetic of the Russian land, St. Sergius of Radonezh, one of the most revered saints. The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection "Sergius of Radonezh (about 1314–1392)", which contains rare editions, including annals of the life and deeds of the hieromonk, images of the saint and monuments to him, materials dedicated to the Trinity Sergius Lavra and much more.

The Council of the Russian-speaking community in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with the support of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Embassy of the Russian Federation, organized the International online contest "Victory Songs" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Musicians from around the world send their videos of military-patriotic songs.

On January 23, 2020, the exhibition “Falk, Mashkov, Kuznetsov. The circle of post-avant-garde artists of the 1920–1960s”, was opened in the Gallery of Modern Art of the National Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan). It features the post-avant-garde graphics from the museum’s collection.

January 29, 2020, marks the 160th anniversary of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, one of the most popular Russian writers. The specialists of the Presidential Library prepared a new large collection “Anton Chekhov (1860–1904)”, which features different aspects of the writer’s personality, life, and work. The collection includes digital copies of rare books, periodicals and archival documents, postcards, and photographs, as well as the texts of his oeuvres, articles, and letters.

"Following the Roads of Jesus Christ" photo exhibition was opened in the State Museum of the History of Religion (Saint-Petersburg). The exhibition features genuine photographs of 1850-1900 from the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society museum's collection. It also showcases pilgrimage souvenirs of the late XIX - early XXI centuries, as well as historical maps of the Holy Land.

A. K. Yugov's Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted the presentation of the scientific publication "Savin-1 Neolithic Age Sanctuary in Tobolsk Region: Anthology of Articles" and a thematic electronic resource.

The grand opening of remote electronic reading rooms with access to the resources of the Presidential Library at the Popov Trinity Inter-settlement Model Library, the Tabun Inter-Settlement Library, the Shipunov Central District Library and the Yegoryevsk Inter-Settlement Central Library was held in March 2020.

An exhibition of the works of the remarkable Russian and Soviet painter, Honored Artist of the RSFSR Ivan Vladimirov, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the artist, was opened in the Museum of Political History of Russia (Saint Petersburg).
