Probably, Andrei Rode (1808–), an Engineering School graduate and officer of various engineering troops. He participated in the Russian-Turkish War (1828-29), the Hungarian campaign, the campaign in the Caucasus. In 1860 he was appointed Chairman of the Technical Construction Committee and Head of the Marine Construction Directorate. In 1867 he became the Chairman of the Construction Department of the Marine Technical Committee.
