Commemorative Dates of Russia: An exhibition timed to coincide with the 125th anniversary of Anastasia Tsvetaeva’s birth mounted in Moscow

The 125th anniversary of Anastasia Tsvetaeva’s birth is marked this year. On August 20, 2019 the Tsvetaeva House Museum in Moscow is presenting the exhibition “The Many Faces of Asya”: Character, Life and Work of Anastasia Tsvetaeva”. It is dedicated to this wonderful person: sister of the great poet, talented writer, memoirist, “witness of the century”, a fragile but strong-willed woman, who showed enormous strength of character in times of hardship.

IT and Culture: Six virtual concert halls to be inaugurated in Novgorod Region in 2020

Next year 4.7 million roubles will be allocated to Novgorod Region for the foundation of virtual concert halls. Applications from 6 towns of the region have become winners of the contest, which was held as part of the “Culture” national project. Multimedia equipment will be installed in Borovichi, Malaya Vishera, Okulovka, Soltsy, Staraya Russa and Valdai.

The Gorky Perm Regional Library presents the travelling photo exhibition “Thomas Mann. Life of the Great Writer”. It is dedicated to the upcoming 145th anniversary of the birth of the Nobel laureate, which will be marked next year. The exhibition is organized by the Heinrich and Thomas Mann Center at the Buddenbrook House in Lübeck (Germany) and the Goethe Institut (the German Cultural Center).

The Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts is hosting the exhibition “A Joy for All Senses”. 16th-19th-Century Western European Still Lifes from the Collection of the State Hermitage”. The exhibition is devoted to one of the most interesting genres in painting – the still life – and showcases more than forty works from the 16th–19th centuries representing leading schools of Western European art: Flemish, Dutch, Italian, German and French. The exhibition will be open until January 19, 2020.
