Advanced training courses for teachers of Russian as a foreign language in the capital of Argentina supported by the Moscow Government at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Buenos Aires are underway. Classes are held by representatives of the Department of Russian and other Slavic languages ​​of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The Krupskaya Astrakhan Regional Research Library presents the exhibition “A Great Talent of Mikhail Zoshchenko”, which is timed to coincide with the 125th anniversary of the writer’s birth (August 10) and is devoted to his life and oeuvre.

A meeting of the heads of city school museums was held in Kemerovo on September 5, 2019. In the course of the event, employees of the Kemerovo Regional Center of the Presidential Library discussed the electronic collection “Family Chronicle of War”, the work on which began in 2015, the year of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The year 2019 is proclaimed the Year of Pavel Bazhov (1879–1950) in Sverdlovsk Region and is timed to coincide with the 140th anniversary of the birth of the famous writer and folklorist.

The Moscow State University’s Faculty of Philology will hold the International Academic Conference “Alexander Pushkin and Russian Literature” to mark the 220th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet. The international forum will take place from October 17 to October 19, 2019.

The Iron Town Festival will take place in Izborsk on August 3 - 4, 2019. The event will bring together over 100 re-enactors from 10 historical clubs of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tula, Belgorod, Velikiye Luki, and Pskov.

October 15-16, 2019, the 5th Russian Youth Library Convention (with international participation) will be held at the Russian State Youth Library in Moscow, which is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and with the organizational participation of the RBA Youth Section.

The Russian State Children’s Library (Moscow), Foreign Literature Hall, presents an exhibition of the best titles of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2019. This year the 56th edition of the fair was held on April 1–4.

The 13th Krasnoyarsk Book Culture Fair will take place from October 31 to November 4, 2019. “Local History” will become the main theme of the fair.

Exhibition "Old Petersburg. The capital and surroundings of the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries" will be underway in the Rumyantsev Mansion (State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg).

The exhibition “City Lost in Time” will open on December 12, 2019 in the Rumyantsev Mansion (the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg) in St. Petersburg.

The exhibition “The heirs of the Russian throne - from birth to accession” is underway on September 5, 2019 at the State Historical Museum of the Southern Urals in Chelyabinsk.

On August 6, 2019 the Bakhrushin Theatre Museum in Moscow is mounting an exhibition project timed to coincide with its 125th birthday. Ahead of the anniversary the museum is launching the important project “125 Masterpieces of the Bakhrushin Museum”. October 29, 1894 is considered to be the date of founding of the Bakhrushin Museum. On that day the young merchant Alexei Bakhrushin presented his theatrical collection to the public for the first time.

The photo exhibition “Not Just Arkhangelskoye”. Estates and Residences of the Yusupov Princes in the second half of the 19th – early 20th Centuries in the Photographs from the Collection of the Arkhangelskoye Museum-Estate” will be open until October 6, 2019 in the park of the Arkhangelskoye Museum-Estate (Moscow Region). In the early 19th century princes of the Yusupov family ranked among the richest landowners of Russia and enjoyed this status until 1917.

The exhibition "M. V. Nesterov. Holy Rus’. Restoration” is opened on September 12, 2019 at the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg).

Rectors of the Far Eastern Federal University and the Amity University (India) have signed a cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, the Far Eastern Federal University will set up the Pushkin Russian Language Center at the Amity University in India. Specialists from India in their turn will help to open a yoga center at the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok.

A forum for the exchange of the intangible cultural heritage between Russia and China was held in the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing. It was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. 

The Solzhenitsyn Center will be inaugurated at the Ryazan Historical and Architectural Museum on August 14, 2019. The new exhibition space will be opened to mark the centenary of the writer’s birth, which was celebrated in 2018.
