On October 4, 2019 at 3 p.m. the Presidential Library will hold the Cinema Club meeting dedicated to the World Animal Day. On this day the audience will meet with Pavel Glazkov, a naturalist, PhD in Biology, who runs “Two of Every Kind” video blog, which is about animals living in Leningrad region. His motto is love for nature through learning. The program features four film premieres.

On October 3–4, 2019 the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Federal Chancellery and the Ministry for Family Affairs, Women, and Youth of the Republic of Austria are holding the Russian-Austrian Youth Creative Forum in Vienna. The event has brought together young culture professionals, artists and students of the arts universities from Russia and Austria. The program includes presentation sessions, roundtable discussions and workshops.

On October 9, 2019 Vittore Carpaccio’s work Two Venetian Ladies was put on display in the Italian Cabinet of the New Hermitage. This is one of the most famous paintings in the collection of the Museo Correr (Fondazione Musei Civici Venezia). There are no paintings by Vittore Carpaccio in Russian museums (the exhibition features a drawing by Carpaccio from the Hermitage Museum). There are few works of painting outside of Venice – the city where the artist spent almost his entire life.

In 2019 the Presidential Library for the tenth time holds an interactive Olympiad on Russian Language, History and Social Studies “Russia in the Electronic World” for pupils of educational institutions. The Olympiad is intended for pupils of 10-11 grades and secondary vocational schools. The event consists of three stages, two of which each can be done remotely online.

Until December 31, 2019 the exhibition "On both sides of the century: Novorossiysk, early XX century - Novorossiysk, XXI century" is exhibited in the Novorossiysk Historical Museum-Reserve. The exhibition is a continuation of the 2018 project “Life in the City N” from the cycle “leafing through the last page”. Visitors to the exhibition will again be able to feel the atmosphere of the provincial Novorossiysk of the early XX century and compare the appearance of the old city with the modern look.
