On October 31, 2019 the Museum of Ancient Russian Culture and Art, which is named after the great icon painter Andrei Rublev, is opening an exhibition that showcases a work from Andrei Rublev’s epoch – the Holy Doors dating from the first half of the 15th century, which were part of an iconostasis of an unknown large church.

The exhibition “Icons from the Collection of the Yaroslavl Art Museum” is opening on February 12, 2019 in the New Exhibition Hall of the State Historical Museum (Moscow). The exhibition showcases saved icons of the 16th — early 20th cc. from the ruined churches of Yaroslavl. There are 36 icons which date from 16th — early 20th cc. Many of the exhibits have never been displayed before. The exhibition will be open through May 31, 2019.

Moreover, this year marks 45 years since the publication of Leningrad Under Siege (A Book of the Blockade) and the centenary of the birth of its author – Daniil Granin.
