The Presidential Library of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and the State Borodino Military History Museum and Reserve signed a cooperation agreement. The event took place on 11 September 2025 as part of the 11th St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures.

Франко, состоялось просветительское мероприятие «Первокурсный переполох». Участниками стали студенты Крымского юридического института (филиала) Университета прокуратуры Российской Федерации.

Экспозиция рассказывает о борьбе против нацистской оккупации, роли советских войск и сербских патриотов в освобождении городов Ниш, Пожаревац, Крагуевац, Белград. Представлены архивные фотографии и документы из фондов и коллекций учреждений культуры, а также награды, боевые знамёна частей Народно-освободительной армии Югославии, оружие и снаряжение, предметы военной формы.

16 September (5 September according to the old calendar) marks the 278th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian commander Mikhail Illarionovich Kutuzov. For a long time, it was believed that he was born in 1745. However, staff at the Military History Museum of Artillery, Engineering and Signal Corps, a partner of the Presidential Library, conducted research based on archival documents and proved that the future military leader was born not in 1745, but in 1747.

In September 2025, a new scientific collection of the Presidential Library was published in two parts as part of the Electronic Archive series. The publication can be accessed on the library's portal from anywhere in the world.

From 17 to 19 September 2025, the city of Ulyanovsk will host the All-Russian Book Forum "Years of War – Centuries of Memory" will be held in Ulyanovsk, organised by the cultural institution Palace of Books – V. I. Lenin Ulyanovsk Regional Scientific Library with the support of the Ministry of Art and Cultural Policy of Ulyanovsk Region as part of the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland.

On October 6, 2025, at 14:00 Moscow time, the Presidential Library will host a lecture entitled "Historian, Archivist, and Human Being" as part of the "Knowledge of Russia" video lecture series. The audience will learn about Bella Davydovna Galperina (1930–2022), Doctor of Historical Sciences and authoritative researcher of Russian history of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  

From September 18 to 21, 2025, the city of Saransk, capital of the Republic of Mordovia, hosted the All-Russian Youth Seminar "No Statute of Limitations." The event was held as part of the federal project "We Are Together (Raising Harmoniously Developed Individuals)" of the national project "Youth and Children."

From September 23 to 24, 2025, the Presidential Library of Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation will participate in the All-Russian Coordinating Council of Human Rights Commissioners.

In 2025, the 125th anniversary of the birth of Boris Yefimovich Yefimov will be celebrated. He was a prominent figure in Soviet and Russian political satire. Born on September 28, 1900, Boris Yefimov lived to the ripe old age of 108 and witnessed some of the most significant events in European and Russian history. His works, which are a significant part of the global cartoon heritage, include a series of anti-war and anti-fascist pieces.

The presented statistic and cartographic materials, researches and essays of the 19th – early 20th centuries disclose geographic, ethnographic, demographic, socio-economical and socio-political aspects of the history of the Novgorod Region. The selection also includes the current Statute of the Novgorod Region.

The collection includes about 900 items. These are official documents, memoirs, diaries, business and personal correspondence, newsreels, photos and paintings, audio records of radio programs, popular science films, historical studies, bibliography and more. Materials of the collection are brought together in thematic sections provided with brief summaries. Smolensk city is the administrative, industrial and cultural center of the Smolensk Region. Smolensk is one of the oldest cities in Russia. Its first mention in chronicles dates back to 863. In 2013, the city celebrated its 1150th anniversary.

Pyotr Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) is one of the greatest composers in the history of music. He also made an enormous contribution to the development of Russian culture as a conductor, popularizer of Russian music abroad, educator, music journalist and public figure.

Collection, timed to the anniversary of M. Yu. Lermontov, contains materials that reveal the diversity of the individual genius of the poet, his role in the cultural life of Russia. The collection includes books and periodicals containing the texts of M. Yu. Lermontov’s works, researches on his life and work, as well as postcards and photographs depicting the monument to the poet, the places associated with his name.

The entry of the USSR into the war with Japan was agreed upon at the Yalta Conference and confirmed at the Potsdam Conference. The circumstances surrounding the declaration of war, as well as the 1941 Neutrality Pact with Japan, are of particular interest. The selection includes researches, essays, statistic materials and archival documents of the end of 18th – mid 20th centuries disclosing administrative, socio-economical, socio-political and cultural development of the Pskov Regionin various historical periods.

In 2012 Russia is celebrating the 1150th anniversary of birth of the Russian statehood. The collection devoted to the event includes the materials disclosing both the issues of formation and development of the Old Russian state and the history of the holiday itself.

The collection includes legislative acts and studies on the history of the New Year’s and Christmas celebration in Russia, awards papers, letters of congratulations, historical and contemporary calendars, pre-revolutionary and Soviet greeting cards.

The collection, timed to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Soviet Russian writer, playwright and public figure Maxim Gorky (A. M. Peshkov) (1868-1936), includes digital copies of books, periodicals, archival documents and graphic materials devoted to his life and work, as well as texts of his own works of art, articles and memoirs.

The archival documents, rare book editions, cartographic and graphic materials, included in the collection, give an idea of the state and territorial structure of Sweden, its noble families closely associated with Russia, as well as cover the history of the relationship between Russia and Sweden, the two important powers of the Northern region, from XXIII to XXI centuries.

The collection timed to coincide with 215th anniversary of the first Russian circumnavigation of the world, provides access to research works, archival documents from the Foreign Policy Archive of the Russian Federation and the Russian State Historical Archive, video and visual materials. Presented research works and official documents provide insights into the geography and history of Malaysia, and shed light on diplomatic relations between Russia and Malaysia from late 20th century to the present day.

The collection, dedicated to participants of the second people’s volunteer corps (militia) Kuzma Minin and Prince Dmitry Pozharsky, who liberated Moscow from Polish invaders in 1612, includes publications of the 19th and 20th centuries, which cast light on the history of the volunteer corps, as well as materials commemorating the national heroes in Russian cities.
