Presidential Library and State Borodino Military History Museum-Reserve developing cooperation

16 September (5 September according to the old calendar) marks the 278th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian commander Mikhail Illarionovich Kutuzov. For a long time, it was believed that he was born in 1745. However, staff at the Military History Museum of Artillery, Engineering and Signal Corps, a partner of the Presidential Library, conducted research based on archival documents and proved that the future military leader was born not in 1745, but in 1747.

Presidential Library to tell about historian Bella Galperina

On October 6, 2025, at 14:00 Moscow time, the Presidential Library will host a lecture entitled "Historian, Archivist, and Human Being" as part of the "Knowledge of Russia" video lecture series. The audience will learn about Bella Davydovna Galperina (1930–2022), Doctor of Historical Sciences and authoritative researcher of Russian history of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

In 2025, the 125th anniversary of the birth of Boris Yefimovich Yefimov will be celebrated. He was a prominent figure in Soviet and Russian political satire. Born on September 28, 1900, Boris Yefimov lived to the ripe old age of 108 and witnessed some of the most significant events in European and Russian history. His works, which are a significant part of the global cartoon heritage, include a series of anti-war and anti-fascist pieces.
