      The collection, dedicated to participants of the second people’s volunteer corps (militia) Kuzma Minin and Prince Dmitry Pozharsky, who liberated Moscow from Polish invaders in 1612, includes publications of the 19th and 20th centuries, which cast light on the history of the volunteer corps, as well as materials commemorating the national heroes in Russian cities.

      The collection is timed to coincide with the 110th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Soviet pilot, famous on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War, three times Hero of the USSR Alexander Ivanovich Pokryshkin (1913–1985). The collection contains research papers, archival documents, photographs and audiovisual materials, dedicated to his life and work, as well as to the preservation of memory of this great man.
