On May 13, 2022 the Presidential Library hosted the grand opening of two exhibitions at once, dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the Russian Emperor Peter I.

The Presidential Library’s portal features a virtual tour of the exhibition Sea vessels to be!": Marking the 325th anniversary of the founding of the Navy and the 115th anniversary of the founding of the Russian submarine fleet, which was open from October 18, 2021 to January 23, 2022 in the historic building of the Synod on Senate Square, 3. The Presidential Library and the Kostyor magazine announce a competition for schoolchildren
“My Peter I” is the name of the competition dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of the first Russian emperor. The competition is organized by the All-Russian literary and art magazine for schoolchildren Kostyor and the Presidential Library. The competition is held from January 1 to November 15, 2022. Russian schoolchildren and students of secondary educational institutions under the age of 17 are invited to participate, regardless of the region of residence.

The Presidential Library marking Radio Day
May 7 went down in the history of world science and technology as the birthday of radio. It was on this day in 1895 at a meeting of the Russian Physical and Chemical Society that physicist Alexander Popov made a presentation and demonstration of the world's first radio receiver he had created and made the first radio communication session. He transferred the name Heinrich Hertz in Morse code, expressing his deep respect for the merits of the scientist.

340 years ago, on May 7 (April 27), 1682, a significant event took place in the history of Russia. On this day, after the death of Tsar Feodor III Alekseevich, the succession to the throne was transferred to the ten-year-old Peter, the future commander and reformer of the Russian Empire.
