Two centuries of Russian music exhibited at the Presidential Library
March 24, 2021 the Presidential Library (Senate Square, 3) hosted the grand opening of the exhibition “History of the Philharmonic Society in the Collection of the Musical Library. Marking the 100th anniversary of the Dmitry Shostakovich St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic". On May 13, 1921 the first philharmonic society in our country (Petrograd by that time) was established. The first concert took place on June 12.
The Presidential Library’s video lecture marking the 160th anniversary of the abolition of serfdom in Russia
March 23, 2021 the Presidential Library hosted a video lecture entitled “Traditions and Innovations in the Development of the Emancipation Reform of 1861” as part of the Knowledge of Russia project. The event was timed to the 160th anniversary of the abolition of serfdom in Russia.
The Presidential Library and the National Guard of Russia developed cooperation
The cooperation agreement between the institution and the Office of the North-Western Order of the Red Star of the District of the National Guard of the Russian Federation was signed at the Presidential Library (Senate Square, 3) on March 22, 2021.
The Presidential Library has digitized negatives, documents and watercolors from the collection of the Maximilian Voloshin House-Museum
The Presidential Library has digitized 150 negatives on glass and film depicting Maximilian Voloshin and guests of his House of the Poet - writers, philosophers, artists, relatives and friends. These priceless exhibits of the first third of the twentieth century were provided to the library by the Historical and Cultural Memorial Museum-Reserve "Cimmeria by Maximilian Voloshin" in the framework of the agreement signed in November 2019 on cooperation with the Presidential Library.
