Presidential Library hosted video lecture about daily life during the Great Patriotic War and the Siege
On May 8, 2024 the Presidential Library hosted a lecture about everyday life during the Great Patriotic War and the siege as part of the video lecture "Knowledge of Russia". Lecturers were Kirill Boldovsky, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Head of the laboratory "History of the Siege of Leningrad", Senior Researcher at the Department of Modern Russian History of the St. Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Alexey Bogomolov, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Researcher at the St. Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

On May 7, 2024, the Presidential Library hosted a solemn event timed to coincide with the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The organizers are the Administration of the Admiralteysky district of St. Petersburg and the Presidential Library. The event was attended by veterans of the Great Patriotic War, residents of besieged Leningrad and home front workers.

On May 3, 2024, in St. Petersburg, at the House of the Press, an important campaign for the preservation of historical memory "Voices of Victory" took place. The event, which is held annually on the eve of May 9 by the publishing house of Arguments and Facts newspaper, was attended by veterans of the Great Patriotic War, residents of besieged Leningrad and home front workers. On May 3, 2024, the Collection "World War II in Archival documents" on the Presidential Library's portal was replenished with more than 40 photographic documents and manuscripts from the collections of the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art (RGALI) and the State Archive of the Russian Federation (GARF) of the key period of the Great Patriotic War (from November 19, 1942 to November 7, 1944).
