April 1, 2018 marks the 209th anniversary of the birth of the author of “The Inspector General”, “Dead Souls" and other immortal works of the writer Nikolai Vasilievich Gogol. Unknown fairy-tales by Korney Chukovsky - in the Presidential Library collections
March 31, 2018 marks the 136th anniversary of the birth of Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky - poet, publicist, literary critic, translator and, of course, one of the most famous Soviet children's writers. More than one generation has grown on his tales. "Moydodyr", "Mukha-zokotukha", "Tarakanische", "The Adventures of Bibigon", "Fedorino Gore", "Aybolit" ... But very few people are familiar with the fairy tale "We Defeat Barmaley!", which has been under an unofficial ban for more than half a century. March 29, 2018 marks the 389th anniversary of the birth of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich (1629-1676) - the second sovereign of the Romanov dynasty, who ascended the Russian throne; the father of the first emperor of Russia Peter the Great. The Presidential Library portal features electronic collection "The House of Romanov. Zemsky Sobor of 1613", one of its sections is dedicated to Alexei Mikhailovich. The selection includes rare books and documents revealing the personality traits and the character of the government of this autocrat.
